Last December 16,2023 – The established software development company, SuiteWorks celebrated its year end party in a thrilling-action packed activity at Stacia Hotel in Banilad Cebu City.
This year the employees complied with the theme of Mafia Masquerade to unmask the merry mischief, where secrets are wrapped in elegance.
The attendees from each department namely Development Operations (DevOps), Quality Assurance (QA), Implementation, Software Support, Deployment, System Integration, Multimedia, Administration, and Finance showcase their individuality by dressing in their alluring Mafia Masquerade outfits.

Each respective department members were shuffled and divided into Mafia Family namely The Bonanno Family, Colombo Family, Gambino Family, Genovese Family, and Lucchese Family.

Mafia Masque Party Winner Spotlight
Each respective department members were shuffled and divided into Mafia Family namely The Bonanno Family, Colombo Family, Gambino Family, Genovese Family, and Lucchese Family.
Stacia Hotel was filled with laughter and surprises as the attendees from the different Mafia Family collaborated to snatch the title awards away from the other Mafia Family.
They exuded lavish and magnificent Mafia Masquerade outfits as they practiced together how to pose in the photo.
Ma. Carmela Labandiro from Bonanno Family proudly shared their journey and preparation.
“At first, I thought we couldn’t win the grand prize. Before we could take a picture together, we made a little rehearsal outside the main hall, feeling competitive at the same time. Days before the YEP, we prepared on how to pose ourselves in the photo and what props to bring,” she said.
The Colombo Family secured the 2nd place, Gambino Family came in 3rd place, Genovese Family took 4th place, and Luchese Family in 5th place.

In the Mafia Family Presentation contest, the Lucchese Family makes a jaw dropping comeback by cross dressing and embodying the girl group power they presented.
Their humorous charisma added spice to their remix dance number by the different artists like Spice Girls, BlackPink, and Aegis. When asked about their preparation, Ian Carlo Co from Lucchese Family said he wasn’t thinking about the competition.
“It was fun though, dignity lost due to cross-dressing hahaha… How I felt about winning the first prize, idk to be honest, I was having a good time and that I forgot the competition that was going on,” he recalled.
Colombo Family retained its 2nd spot, Gambino Family secured 3rd place, Bonanno Family came in 4th place, and the Genovese Family took the 5th place. Meanwhile, Bonanno Family and Colombo Family bets win the title for Boss of the Night and Muse of the Night. Stephen John Baesa from Bonanno Family and Sly Anthonette Baseo from Colombo Family.
Both winners walked gracefully in their Mafia attire, filling the room with loud cheers and screams before announcing Myrnel Joy Batuigas from Bonanno Family lucky victory from the raffle draw, taking home a brand-new washing machine with a big smile.

Unmask the Year End Party Blast
SuiteWorks annual year-end party showcases the true value of the employees and camaraderie inside the company.
William Padin, SuiteWorks Software Support Manager openly said in an interview, “This year’s YEP is a statement that we all love events that promote togetherness, closeness and unity, not just within individual teams, but as one family.”
Challenges were bound to happen, however SuiteWorks employees were resilient to make this event happen.

“Despite some of the hurdles encountered, the event was still a success! Everyone felt a little bit pressured as information about the event came in short notice. Regardless, everyone was still cool in complying to the activities which even showed how we all wanted these kinds of events to push through,” William added.
The Mafia Masquerade year end party had ended but the memories and the lesson remained. SuiteWorks continued to wear its proud face with gratitude to the people behind all this continuous success.

“Kudos to the organizers and working committees for pulling this off! Of course, congrats to all of us, Suiteworkers.
