Finding Hope This Thanksgiving at SuiteWorks
This Thanksgiving, SuiteWorks pauses to reflect. Our city faced a challenging time. We saw an earthquake, Typhoon Tino, and weeks of heavy rain. These events caused pain. They hurt lives and damaged homes. They created great stress for our employees. Yet, right now, we find many reasons for deep thankfulness. We look past the difficulty to see the strength we found together.
Grateful for the Spirit of Our People
Our employees faced great hardship: flooding, lost power, unsafe travel, and shaking homes. But they showed amazing strength, courage, and true compassion. Families helped each other. Coworkers checked in every day. Our community stayed strongly linked, even when phones and the internet failed. We are truly grateful that the SuiteWorks family stayed safe and so incredibly resilient.
Grateful for Our Action and Support
Through every disaster, the company’s first thought was our people. We put employees first. Work was stopped for everyone when danger was too high. We shared fast updates using chat and email. This kept everyone informed and safe.
We offered flexible schedules and remote work. We gave out calamity leave. This helped staff focus on their families and recovery without worry. Managers also reached out to staff right away. They offered empathy and needed support during a high-stress time.
Our team members saw this care:
Darylle Lou Villar from HR said: “The company quickly used flexible work hours. This kept employees safe. They even let employees stay at the office temporarily. This helped those with lost power or heavy flooding at home. Management is now running a donation drive for affected staff. We will also train our Emergency Rescue Team. This will make us even more ready for the future.”
Aissa Aubyan, Secretary of the Health and Safety Committee, added: “SuiteWorks is committed to helping employees during any crisis. This includes earthquakes, typhoons, and fires. When the typhoon hit, SuiteWorks quickly started a donation drive. We also practice safety drills twice a year. We do drills for fire and earthquake. Our committee pushes for new rules to boost safety for all employees.”
A Deeper Thanksgiving Reflection
The last few months were hard. But they showed us what truly matters most. It is our people, our kindness, and our unity.
As the storms passed, SuiteWorks kept helping staff. We reviewed all safety plans. We made our recovery steps stronger. The whole experience showed us the value of preparedness, clear communication, and mental health care. More than anything, it showed us the deep power of our shared community.

Darylle expressed thoughtfully:“With the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thank management and my colleagues the most. They did not hesitate to help, even though everyone was affected too. I expected nothing, yet they reached out. They offered help. They checked on my family and me. Your kindness means everything. That is what I am most grateful for.”
This Thanksgiving, we are thankful to stand here now. We are thankful for the company’s support. We are especially thankful for each other. We continue to rebuild and move forward—together, with gratitude in our hearts.
